Can’t compare with the Vision Thing tour as I can hardly remember anything of that show. I had a great time in this one although I would have love to hear more songs from the first album and the early singles/eps. I’ve never been a huge fan of Floodland or Vision Thing. I like some of the songs, but they are not among my fav albums. I would have love to hear Body Electric, to name one.
The band sounds ok, but as I said in other thread, Andy’s voice was too buried IMHO. Anyway, a pleasure to see them again.
Floodland and especially Vision Thing were always going to be a disappointment after the creative peak of the early EPs and one of the greatest debut albums of all time, First and Last and Always.
how were the RHCP and did they perform shirtless? Enquiry minds want to know! I’m not a fan as such, but I hope you had a fabulous time! This song (see below) is hilarious.

They were fantastic. Flea & Anthony (who actually sings now) got shirtless a few times. Flea was a wearing a man skirt & did handstands running out on the stage. He had on underwear, haha. After the initial jam Flea said "Batter up motherfookers!". It was at the baseball stadium. The chemistry between Flea & John Frusciante is magical. They played 1 of my faves "Parallel Universe" for the first time this tour & John went off on that. Very cool light set up & the sound was great which is tricky in that stadium. Thundercat was the first act. He was interesting but would be better in a jazz club. Kind of a cross between fusion jazz & funk. Middle band was the Strokes. I don't care for them. I know too much about how the band started & got signed from my days in the biz. It looks like half the band have some drug issues especially the singer. He used to be a pretty boy but no more. Eddie Vedder came out & sang on one song with them. All in all, RHCP were worth the effort though. I'm pretty beat up today. I took my friend's 21 year old daughter who I've known since she was a little kid. We've always got along & she really wanted to see them. I didn't get home until 1:00 AM & am useless today, haha. I spent over 2 hours driving & my back is screaming. I just ingested a "special" mint & I can see a nap coming in the very near future. I think you'd enjoy RHCP now. They've grown up. 3 of them are pushing 60 & the 4th one isn't far behind. A few youtube items below. Not the best visuals but the sound is decent on them.
