wilgy, don't forget about trying to meet me (read: buy me a drink) HAMBURG in July or August! I'd even ask for Wrong Number, just for you! (I kinda like thesong tbh)
I'd love to go to that meet-up thing too but unfortunately I can't.
i'd love to come, but cheapest flight is about 155 euro, then there's acommodation which when I looked the other week was ridiculous price..it's a shame i'd really like to come.
I think I saw a suggestion that most people were going to stay at a travel lodge or premier inn near Gatwick as easy train into London for Saturday and then near Crawley for Sunday. I think it was on the event page on Facebook?
Found it: We highly recommend getting a room at the Gatwick premier in for £29 per night from Friday till Monday..... then its 45 mins into London for the Sat night and 4am train back....(£19 return cheaper than taxi round London)...and those who do this we can organize a Friday night Cure venue pub crawl and curry feast around Crawley & Hawley culminating in a pissed up group photo at the band stand...
Travelodge? Oh my, I only know the one at Kings Cross in London... No shower gel, no shampoo and hordes of GERMAN SCHOOL KIDS on my floor. And no sleep for 3 nights in a row. And a huge poster saying "Tralvelodge - SLEEP TIGHT IN THE CITY!" Well, but I'd do it all again - I went to see Suede play at Brixton Academy

If you really wanted to come you could always crash at mine, the husband is away that weekend (shut up you filthy lot) so I've got room, and I'm really near to Gatwick / Crawley etc. I mean, how else am I going to reclaim the many drinks you owe me?
Haggle haggle haggle! Remember! Have fun! I hope you like it!
Oh gods, the car/van was lovely!! ...and the guy in the dealership was (this is gonna be hard to believe, I know!) honest ("Sell your car privately, you'll get more money for it than what we'll offer"), sensible ("Take as much time as you like to mull it over"), funny ("Audi now charge you for white bloody paint!"... White is almost always just the basecoat colour with some gloss sloshed on top) and despite the fact that I am a. blonde and b. female was totally non-patronising.
Probably because the first thing I did was asked if I could rummage round the engine bay...
So... The new variant Ford Fiesta car/van is stunning, but an ex-demo car is £12,000. And while yes, I can afford that, I have a rule never to spend more than £6,000 on a car.
So I've asked him to order in a 2010 previous variant car/van for me to look at.
It's £8,000.
...and BLACK.
:-D
<-- *goff*
The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
haha..no, it wont be like that, I went to one in Berlin and met some nice people from here gothmazohfuchsiamelly80 for example..sure they moan a lot but they're really nice
Hahahahaha you cheeky fecker, you moan more than any of us
Everyone i've met has been lovely, so you'd be in good company. Of course i'm sure these things do attract their share of lunatics, but they won't be with me!
Oh and Wilgy, get your backside on a plane, you owe me a drink
I'm gonna look into going melly has told me as well that its a good night, I had a really bad experience at a Cure meet up a few years ago, it was a six hour journey to a very smelly church hall and there was only ten people there, it was very creepy and I ended up getting followed by a very smelly Bobalike so that kind of put me off!!! I will definatly look into it this weekend, thanks for the advice x
