I really think we are getting a Christmas gift, with the new album. They should title the album "Christmas" It's been a working title in the past and "Live From The Moon" is a lame title. It would have been hip if released a few months ago, but now it would seem dated already!

They should have released a best of live album from this year's festival shows and called THAT Live From The Moon. That would make loads of sense!

they did. recorded at hyde park last year. i love live albums but we seriously need the new studio record especially if its long dark songs like Robert has been saying. with lots of guitar fireworks from Reeves, please!
Robert says he has been recording and re-recording the vocals for the new album, which is holding things up.
He’s probably trying to get all the opening “Owww’s” and closing “yeah’s” just right, and making sure that his voice is loud enough to drown out the music.

Ha that is so true. On the last couple of albums the vocals are getting mixed louder and louder and it's like he has to have the finish to every song with a last vocal line. That works occasionally like the brilliant dododododooo ending on "Screw" but not on every song.
He does "owww" intro a song like he's MJ on heat, just needs to throw in some "Eheeees" and "Chamones" for the full deal.

I am afraid Simon's personal problems might mean we won't see a new album this year. Robert, seemed heelbentnt on releasing a new album this year, but "Life Interviens" as he said at the Hall Of Fame Red Carpet Interview. The Cure owe us nothing. My heart goes out to Simon. Family comes first and I'm willing to wait until things are sorted for Simon. I pray things work out for him and his loved ones. I'm hopeful that we will get a new album (or three as Smith hinted)
I doubt it though. Holidays are coming up and I'm sure Simon wants to enjoy his precious family moments.
