I also want summer holiday till september!!! And he doesn’t even mention WHEN in september!!! It COULD be till late september! 10 weeks summer holiday!!! - is that too much to ask?!??
Sincerely Somebody whom’s (ONLY 3 weeks of) summerholiday ended five days ago! (And we don’t mention that that somebody gets paid during holidays, and that that somebody only have been working monday and today - but 24 hrs. shift)
So what are they going to do with the pile of songs from the second part of 4:13 Dream? How exciting though really!! Wooot!!
I know. Simon says it's done, but I am curious to know exactly what constitutes "done". Have they re-recorded all Porl's parts with Reeves on guitar? Or is it the original 4Tour configuration? If it's the latter, then we've known that's been done for a few years now. But my mouth really starts to water when I think of RG re-doing the guitar parts.
I don't think Reeves could overdub Porl in isolation, if you changed parts for one instrument you'd have to at least look at changing others to accomodate the new stuff. And how to handle Porl's structures/melodies/chords... I think done with original line up, Robert's on record saying 'different band'.

Things are happening, though, and Simon referenced having fun at the recent two shows. They were testing the waters.
Here is the band from Argentina the interviewer asked if Simon had heard, Soda Stereo.
Soda Stereo: Really massive band from Argentina. Maybe the biggest one from here and the whole Latin America. Right after the Cure show in Buenos Aires (March 1987), two of them says something about "Show was horrible... I saw them (The Cure) in London last year and they were awful too". Just for that I never went to see them live!! And they were really good....

Now I really wonder why the interviewer brought them up. Maybe to stir up some drama?
I had assumed it was because she was trying to gain some exposure for a band that is overlooked by lots of the world outside LATAM. Nothing wrong with that. But to mention a band that has badmouthed the band of the person she is interviewing is, well... what would my late maternal grandmother say? "Tacky!" Save
