It happened - I have inspiration and I know what I'm making!
Before, it was like, "This could be fun and cool, let's see what happens." Now, I have a vision! It must be fulfilled so I can send it someone who will understand.
In the next couple of weeks (maybe sooner if I decide to do some speed, have a manic episode, or break something and have to take time off work) I'll be working on a Google doc of swap guidelines so people can take a look and see if they want to participate...
Since this is an international forum, there is one thing I was thinking about that might enable more people to participate if they have financial restraints re: shipping. But I'm not sure it's really necessary.
Does anyone think it might be a good idea to let people indicate whether they are able to swap internationally, or only within their own country? Or is that just complicating things too much?
This is my first time at this particular type of rodeo.
It is very expensive to ship stuff from Denmark to US. The two times I have shipped very small parcels, it costed about 20$ - I don’t know if it is just as expensive to ship from US to Denmark...
And besides that: parcels from outside Europe, cost a lot to “import” to Denmark, if the value included the shipping price is more than 12,50$...

Shipping to the U.S. from Denmark is probably equally as expensive.
Thankfully, I don't have to ship things too often, but I'm always astounded when I do. It would be one thing if a) 90% of the postal workers didn't act like they were trying to keep from eating you behind the bullet-proof glass and b) things actually arrived within the time frame you pay for, if at all. Hello Soviet-era public service organization?

OK, that was pre coffee. Meant to say, "to Denmark from the U.S.", which I'm sure you already figured out, ninja.
If I've forgotten anything (likely) that might be helpful, please let me know. It's my first time organizing a swap other than Christmas gifts for the kids in our extended family, so I'm no expert.
If you would like to participate, just respond in this thread. I'll keep a running list. The swap is open to forum members with 50 or more posts (Seventeen Seconds level).
Sign up will close November 1 and assignments for swap partners will be sent out November 3.
Even if only one other person signs up, I'll swap with you.
So I was working on music and stuff and didn't really have time to do this. But I have been playing with polymer clay for about 6 months and seems to have a semi grasp on it. (it can be a pain). I actually have the resin down better than the clay so if anyone is interested this year let me know.

All the stuff I was going to use last year is now packed away in our storage unit. Maybe I'll be able to find it when we retrieve our Halloween decorations, we'll see...
