I just decided to finally join the board, after lurking for years but never daring to join.
I'm a 44 yo musician, and I live on tiny Reunion Island (Indian Ocean). Long story short, I'm a living proof of the international "shining" of The Cure.
I finally decided to join, as I will soon be travelling 10k+ kms by plane, to attend the Hyde Park concert.
I play in an indie rock band, and I honestly couldn't pass on seeing The Cure on such a special occasion (I only saw them only once in Wercher 2003 - best live sound I've ever heard in my life, PERIOD).
Welcome fredb, I'm glad you decided to walk out of the shadows of the forum
It's pretty cool how the Hyde Park show will be drawing people from all parts of the world. If we cross paths (Hope we see each other at the meet up the day before), I would love to hear more about life on a tiny island. I've been seriously contemplating a move to an island for a long time.
