Been gardening for a friend who's in the UK. She rents her house out over the summer & I manage it for her. Usually she's here in May but with the situation she can't really come without having to spend 14 days in quarantine. Mowed her enormous lawn & re-planted a rockery today in 30°c heat. Now losing goth points for the tan I have acquired today State of the rockery yesterday State of it now
Those begonias are going to get really bushy
That looks like a dream to me! Well done, steve. I bet it’s easy to get lost for hours working in there. That’s my happy place... beer in hand, music on.
It is surprisingly theraputic & the time flies. I was at the garden, front & back for a good 5 hours before i realised I was burning. This is a panorama of the back garden
It was actually pretty fun! Near Thunder Bay, Ontario, I pulled up to a beach and went swimming for an hour. I always forget the vastness of Lake Superior - it’s like being on the ocean.

When my brother visited me last year he went swimming in Lake Balaton for an hour & a half. It was the first time he'd been swimming in years. The next day he could hardly move & had to slather himself in analgesic gel (I have it for my back) & he smelt flammable for most of the day. No wonder he didn't get attacked by mosquitoes.

That actually sounds like a lot of fun! I hope he didn’t go near any open flames tho..!!
Been gardening again (same place) & made a new friend. He's called Henry
Aww what a handsome, new friend you have! He looks like he’s posing in the second photo.
He was really calm & I was able to get within centimetres of him to take the photo. When I moved away he actually followed me. Not too close, but he was curious as to what I was doing. I think he got brave because he realised i wasn't going to hurt him at all. He is very handsome. Hope he's there when I go back this week to water the plants
Hard work. Just replastered & painted the main wall & ceiling in the lounge as the guy who did it last year appeared to use silicon filler in places to fill cracks after I told him not to. So today's been all about getting all the dust from sanding cleaned up & putting furniture back. I also managed to frame & mount some old photos I took of sunset over Balaton
Time to get off my trotters now though. They are yelling at me.

Nice work, steve! And those pictures are beautiful. You deserve a few drinks and a hammock lie down.
I've been doing a lot of home stuff lately, too. I had to sand down the interior of a water-damaged cabinet and use wood filler on it. I think it came out well, but will only be able to tell after a couple of paint coats. It's not quite as smooth as I'd like. Today I am cleaning grout.
