The daughters, chihuahuas and I are going to visit my niece (she is a day younger than me), her boyfriend and their son.
We are having a nice and quiet evening, and I’m really looking forward to it.
Last year (and every second year) I’m with my friend. Last year we had pyjamas on and eating sushi at my place. We use to hang in the tattoo shop, and I’m getting tattooed for 6-8 hours while we are eating Snickers and drinking coffee.
I wouldn’t mind being alone on new years eve. I actually would love to...
It's the kittens' first one & given the hoards of morons roaming the streets chucking bangers around along with fireworks pretty much all evening, I'll be making sure they have somewhere safe to snuggle so they don't totally freak out. Oh, & I have a nice 18 year old single malt to be getting on with too
Going out to dinner with my honey around 6:30 PM (It's 11:00 AM here now) Then in for the night. It is currently 7 degrees F here and expected to be windy and well below 0 tonight so a nice fire is in order. We will also enjoy watching the ball drop and everyone freeze their azzes off in Time Square. haha
whatever anyone of us in here will do tonight, just try to enjoy it please. Life is too forking short so no matter what, have a good time (as good as it can get) Ouh and about me? still drinking ,alone as usual, but i like it While listening at great music, the greatest shall i add? Made by a popular band called CUt heRE
And cheers to all of you who come here to chat with all of us! We say this often but truly mean it, it is thanks to all of you we continue to do this. Thank's to steve our main man for all of the hours he puts into this place and to my co-moderators as well. As figie said here is to hoping for more than just one itty bitty The Cure concert! Have fun and be safe! xo Pip
& what Pip said too. 2016 was a bit of a roller coaster &, by contrast, 2017 was fairly quiet on the The Cure front, apart from Reeves stepping out for a few dates that some of you got to & Lol on his Cured tour where others were lucky enough to meet him. In real life we've seen horrid things in the world happen, whether naturally or unnaturally, but coming here each day to just talk about The Cure or goof off about daft stuff is keeping (most of us) sane. Without the Big Hands I couldn't do what I do. No way, so I thank you for all that you do. & without the members of the Community, well, there wouldn't be a Community. We see new members each week & it makes us really happy to see you find somewhere you can connect to others that have similar or even wildly different interests. So thankyou everybody for making this year a heck of a lot more bearable & for reminding us that there are still some really f**king cool folks out there. You all rock!
What figie said, what Pipperoo said and what steve said. Nothing more to add. Thank you, guys.
Oh, maybe one thing - the morons here has just started the firework shooting. I'm going to comfort the cat
It's not even dark yet and my neighbor's idiot kid has the back yard on fire. Poor kitty.
The cat is hanging in there. He has even eaten something and played with his mouse a short while. He's OK for now. I've told him it's only around 5 hours of banging ahead of him and he must stay calm. He looked at me in a strange way.
I'm sorry you have such neighbours...
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.
