Simon is The Cure as well,Robert couldn't have done it (all the way until today) without him. In my opinion of course. Ouh well everyone who's got involved through the years is A Cure, but RS is the main character of all the episodes, better put it this way. p.s. : are there any pic's of Boris as well?
I am just saying from the ones I have seen uploaded on line, they have all been of Robert...
I always considered Robert to be the Cure... If there was no Robert, there would be no Cure... But that doesn't mean the other members don't get their time in the sun.....

I agree. But I also think that it is the choice of the photographer, preferring to emphasize the leader rather than the group. At least, I think?

Until the end of 82 the photos were pretty much the whole band. It wasn't until they started to do satirical pop records that Robert became the focus of the photos. At that point he was the "token pretty boy" &, at the time, that sold "the brand". If you think about it, he was never the focal point of album covers until Disintegration, which was a cause of consternation in the band at the time.

Yes, it's true. Besides, who made the choice of this cover ? Was this an argument for selling "more"?

Disintegration was such a personal journey. That & the story about him running back into the burning building to save the lyrics. Robert is the one putting himself out there with the lyrics though. Really his band & Simon's to a slightly lesser extent. No denying his bass work is a signature & the band wasn't quite the same without him. It's been proven the other pieces are moveable. That's not to say they don't deserve recognition.
