This was fun. I shall endeavour to do more of these. I heard Apple is coming up with something to thwart this activity (evil bastards!). Its something bands will have to buy though & I don't think the Cure will participate. Robert is showing way too much luv for the fans. It will be the money grubbing bands.
This has been the first time they’ve played in a time zone where I’ve been awake to periscope. Unfortunately, I missed most of the main set as I didn’t realise about the hero scoper CE until the encores started! (TBH the scoping business was just meant to be a test run for when they play on my b’day).
Anyone got the stats on the last time Robert skipped on stage, bet it was before a lot of the audience were even born! It's great they've got the fun and spontaneity back, which has been missing the last few years.
Well, there we have it. A The Top mainset & a truly magic moment as the crowd fired up their lighters & mobile phones for It Can Never Be The Same.
Once again, a massive thanks to sang & also to Paul who pinged the photos & setlist in live to bring us all a bit closer to the boys & to all the scopers for allowing us to see Bob cut a rug there Thanks to Pipperoo for getting the ball rolling too. I know it's effing late there, so get some shuteye & you. Yes all of you who managed to drag yourselves out of your various warm snuggly beds to join us. Once again, lost for words. So....who's up for it all again tomorrow then?
Good show despite Robert's little vocal problems. There was something for everyone, a few darker songs, a few Cure masterpieces, some of Cure pearls and a huge bunch of party songs to please the crowd. Robert and the band seemed to enjoy it so it's ok. But please Rob, try to be less poppy in Autumn...
There is an idea among Cure fans in my country to take Robert for a walk before the concert, which will take place in one of the most gloomy cities. Many buildings were built in 19th and at the beginning of 20th century and they are mostly very big and dark industrial structures. Even if some of them were renovated recently, they still give the impression of gloom, misery and sorrow. And the not renovated ones are just dreadful and scary. After a walk in such scenery full Disintegration, Porno and Faith albums are guaranteed along with extracts of Bloodflowers.
Thank you all for the best company the Cure lover can ever have Thank you sang and steve for the pics. Greets for fiveswinglive
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
