You know, I did notice quite a few comments from the live threads about zombie audiences. It's pretty hard to tell from the various scopes though, as they tend to be focused on the band. However, the fact some of the really close up scopes were so steady & great quality perhaps tells a part of the story. What also still blows my mind is the fact the audience seems to be all seated. I seem to vaguely recall that being the case too at least in NYC in 2008. Am I imagining this correctly?
MSG was all seats, even on the floor. Very odd scenario for an old mosher like me
I thought I remembered correctly. In Europe it would be all standing on the floor (with the exception of sections further back depending on venue size). That usually is conducive to a more "active" audience I think. Loads of people bouncing & singing along. I guess there are different H&S codes in the USA to meet maybe?
i only know the setlist, but it surley miss the figurehead, the kiss, faith and songs from three imaginary boys, hopefully things will turn around a little bit in europe

I think the seats on the floor are less about h&s codes, more about getting audience members to buy drinks. On the floor, people are a little more hesitant to leave their spot with friends-you may not see then again if you leave!
It's summer so one can't do much about this...but darkness. I wish there was more darkness, later shows. And although it may annoy the band, miss when people used to toss more gifts onto the stage. Flowers, cute toys, I dunno. I like it (as long as it's not potentially ouchy, like hardcover books).
That's another thing sang. & good point. A lot of the venues were outside/ open air. Thankfully the European ones are indoors. It'll be getting on for autumn here & will prolly be a tad chilly. But there will be a darkened arena to "goth out" in

I totally agree sang in the drink promoting. I think you are correct..
I'm hoping that the festival shows this tour will "cure" the band of wanting to do more. Problems @ the 1 in Toronto & Sasquatch. I talked to someone who was at Sasquatch. They said they were embarrassed about the small size of the crowd watching the Cure. Evidently there was a big electronic dance thing going on at the same time (noise was bleeding over to the Cure stage) where most of the crowd went. Sad. I'm fine with the sheds when considered against the scenario I just described. Of course, I would like to see them play 3000 seat theaters but the ticket situation would be brutal.

steve on my first scope I was accused of drunk dancing because on my scope I was swaying back and forth to the rhythm of the music. Even though I didn't have a drop that night. I was too busy enjoying the show to get something to drink, plus I wanted all to see the show. That could be a reason why the people scope is steady..they are trying to make everyone else enjoy the show.
As sang stated is not about the H&S codes, it’s about the venue making some money. Sang also stated that people are more hesitant about leaving their seats. At the LA shows, I was on the nose bleed section and noticed people leaving. I thought to myself, are this people are crazy, why are they leaving now? To my surprise I noticed that they were not leaving but in fact going down to have a better look and fill those empty seats.
Maybe in the close venues, such as the UK, we may get treated to the occasional overzealous fan who tries to rush the stage and get apprehended just prior making it on stage or he actually makes it. >>I can just see Pipperoo doing that!!

I know that the interviews have been missing for a while..Maybe we can bring those back and send The Cure Publicist a request to interview the band Members. We could go as TCC official reporters Any volunteers?
I have in mind a few folks but position can change as requested, depending on availability
-I would like to be the official Camara Man - We have sang as our official interpreter.
