This whole album is produced beautifully. This one is a delight. Off to bed after this dream of a song
She was actually really good live – but the sound guy totally sucked. Kinda bummed she didn't go on pF and do an interview (because of covid), it would have been cool.
New Yves Tumor. Quite good. Think late 70s Bowie meets Prince. I hear a little Cure influence, too. I saw him open for NIN last summer & he was excellent.
The guitar break in this will bring you to your knees. No overindulgent fret wankery. Just pure, awesome power
Thanks for this one ! Smooth guitar sound (I'm guessing the P90 "soap bar" microphones achive that - a sort of "in between" single coils microphones and humbuckers), nice work. Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions spring to mind... Will def. check further...
This & the whole album & the live session, which I find both melancholic and very relaxing, in the vein of Roger Eno's stuff (The Turning Year, & the one w/ his brother Brian - Mixing Colours).
Sometimes controversial personalities make emotional music. When this is the case, IMHO, we gain on focusing on the music only, not on the personality. After all, we don't know them & don't live w/ them.
