I just got done watching Iggy Pop perform on the Jools Holland show. An amazing performance of "The Passenger". Iggy had the whole audience singing, even Graham Nash, haha. He was running around the studio & danced with Margo Price (New country singer signed with Jack White's label. She is excellent.). She was clearly thrilled. Iggy is just irrepressible. "Post Pop Depression" came out before I started posting here. One of the best albums of the year so far. Josh Homme assembled a killer band for Iggy. The drummer from Arctic Monkeys is the real deal. I was lucky & saw the first night of the tour from the 6th row. The tour is over now but it was a fine show. He did most of the new album. My fave track is "Paraguay" or as I call it "The Get Off My Lawn Song" haha. The rest of the show came from the records he did with Bowie in Berlin except for "Repo Man" (!). It was an amazing show & the best I've seen this year until I saw the Cure. Now its a tie between Iggy & the Cure for best of the year. I'm sure Robert wouldn't mind being tied with Iggy.
Iggy rules! Had to give him a miss this year, too much going on.. The Kiss My Blood DVD (directed by the lovely Tim Pope!) captures my favourite tour of his; recorded before the Stooges reformed so his whole back catalogue gets an airing.
A million in prizes. Here's a link for all of the songs Iggy performed on Jools Holland. Not all of it made it on the broadcast in the states (Lust for Life!). Awesome!

Had to skip it at the time cos we either had a new kid or one on the way (the last 5 years all blurs together!) but looking forward to watching. Haven't seen him since the last Stooges tour but he's always good.

Such a great show. Down in front of the pit for the Detroit show on this tour...
