Thanks to all for the reports. It's interesting to follow. I would be a bad reporter because when I get into a show I forget song titles. So much music in my head. This tour is going so well that I hope it is a good sign for the future. The 2 new songs are sounding very strong to my ears. I think it helps that Robert & Reeves were friends before Reeves actually joined the band. Reeves is a fantastic guitar player & I was sorry when he left Bowie's band. I want to hear a full studio album with him contributing. I am betting it would be a classic. We'll keep our fingers crossed! BTW, I loved Porl Thompson's work with the band. It's too bad he's given up on music but I admire that he is following his muse.
As always, I enjoyed reading through this thread! I had a really fun time last night, and did I mention it was my first ever Cure show? Annoyed at myself so waiting so long...although when trying to leave a venue with 18,000 people, I kinda remembered why I waited, hahaha. I feel so lucky that I get to experience it all again tonight.
Thank you to the TCC community for sharing these moments, thank you fiveswinglive, steve, and eduardo for the live tracking and monitoring!
Looks like Tony Hawk got his wish, he tweeted before the show hoping someone who read his tweet could influence the band to play Plainsong, and they opened with it. He had Cold Cave play a live cover of Plainsong at his wedding last year. Seen a photo of him with Robert from another year also.
