It's a Fibonacci sequence
It has all sorts of applications in mathematics & crops up a lot in nature too.
Maybe the tour will be called the golden ratio tour?

Come to think of it, it's pretty much 20 years this year since he played the 6 string Fender VI on songs like Pictures Of You, Lullaby etc. using the trademark sound used on the Prayer Tour, Wish Tour, Swing Tour, 1996 was the last time.
