He's sitting up with help, but pretty p!ssed off (as you could imagine). He needs to get used to the blood thinners right now. The surgery was a success & he's taking as long as it takes to recuperate.
I'm alive, just! No energy or strength to do anything though - either that or I just can't be bothered and love having nurses running round after me ...... cough. Still no closer to being allowed home though, my heart can no longer cope with my jam like blood so I'm on some heavy duty blood thinners, will be for the rest of my life now. I've now had four replacement valve surgeries on my heart in little over a year, losing a lung hasn't helped much either. My heart will not stand any more surgery, which is why I'm still in hospital, I won't be leaving til they're satisfied everything is working as it should, everything except my brain .... obviously. Thanks for all the cards, presents, messages etc, it does help.
Just found this thread. I knew about Mort's surgery from Steve, and I'm so glad that slowly, you're recovering surrounded by Mrs. Mort and a myriad of lovely and caring nurses. I (we) miss you so much here in the forum, you make me (us) laugh everyday.
Oh, and congratulations for your last great victory over Leicester. The premier is yours this year. Good luck next week against Barça, you're gonna need it. Barcelona is on fire.
