I'm only on page six of this thread...did he ever? I struggle with Lol and would be nice to connect.
You see for me, Lol was one of the best drummers ever. He made the drum sound like a flower growing in the desert...Just bereft and impossible...minimalist and articulate. He had a way of making drums sound like hearts. There was something about his love and understanding
of being that we heard in those early soundscapes.
Politically, I'm no fan of Lol. But as a muscician he had something....
Don´t know if this was posted before but Lol is coming to Mexico in the next september.
He´ll be guest on the "Hay Festival" at the city of Querétaro during 5-8 september 2019.
Besides, he told in his fb that he´ll add more dates.
Let´s see what happens.
It looks like Lol is going to have a chat with a radio host on 6th september and the 7th september a conference and a jam session at the city of Querétaro´s Hay Festival, near of Mexico City.
Then, the 10th will have a book signing event at Gandhi bookstore in Mexico City.
