The time has come again: the night of the year for all who love The Cure, is about to unfold: "A Strange Night In Berlin / Happy Birthday Robert Smith ".
Like every year, this time on April 23th 2016, we will celebrate the birthday of The Cure's frontman Robert Smith. Cure fans from all over the world will be attending, adding to the ambiance, atmosphere and cult of the party. We will celebrate in one of Berlin's best underground clubs; Slaughterhouse in Kulturfabrik Moabit, right into the wee hours of the morning.
As in past years we will celebrate The Cure’s sound, look and attitude to life and last but not least, ourselves. As usual, in charge of the music will be The Cure experts; DJ Knüpfi, DJ Ørlög and DJ Wilco. They will rummage their boxes of discs and create the typical Cure mood, not only playing the inevitable hits, but also true rarities, B-sides, remixes, cover-versions and songs from side projects.
The exclusively printed {and well traded amongst fans} "A Strange Night- Happy Birthday Robert!" night fabulous buttons will be available again as a limited edition. We'd like to quote a regular guest, "Who is not attending this party, cannot be a true fan of The Cure". April 23rd deserves three XXX in your calendar for sure!
And as if that wasn't enough, there’ll be a pre-meeting to have a "warm-up" drink {or two} on April 22nd 2016 in a comfortable atmosphere, just "amongst ourselves". More information later. We are looking forward to raising our glasses to a fantastic Cure weekend with you!
