Birmingham 21st July 1989. Three days before Steve's funnily enough, also not my first time, but for me a band at the peak of their powers at that point in time. The last hour or so of the encore was simply stunning, an hour I don't think I'll ever better as a music fan..
Paris, July 8th 1989. The first time I saw The Cure outside of The Netherlands. My sister used to live for a while in Paris at the time, so it was more easy to go there. Crazy audience! To me this was the best opening ever:
Wembley 24th July 1989. Even though it wasn't my first time, it was truly epic
You was there???
Yep. Missed all the trains home because it went on so long & had to walk across London in the middle of the night to get to Victoria station to catch the first train the following morning. Much coffee & garlic bread was consumed during the night. I must have smelt delightful
