Wot he said ^^^^^ I think the sheer scale of the tour has taken everyone a bit by surprise really & talk of a "last hurrah" is purely speculation. The supposition is that such a massive journey is significant. Yep, a new album is one possibility, but so is a final stand (let's hope it's the former). But 73 dates suggests something is looming. Personally (again just my observation) I don't see Robert wanting to fall into the same basket as the Stones or Aerosmith etc. & do the ageing rock star thing. Tyler should have packed it in decades ago & Jagger should never have started I think Bob would rather call it a day & retire gracefully.
My take on it is that it's a realization that the band is a heritage act and can sell out a global stadium tour in a matter of minutes at any ticket price and that the band is just going to work for a few months. I think that there's an album in the hopper though.
Frankfurt Airport - Sitting in the plane right now and waiting for taking off...!!! Frankfurt >> Chicago >> Las Vegas First Cure Show 17th May in El Paso ;-)

I think the fact there's been no interviews also hints at the above. If this was for new material they would be promoting it. I'm thinking no interviews as Robert doesn't want to keep answering the same 'is this a final tour' question.
