I am not a Doctor Who fan but my sister and her family and my mom are, and I'm about to go see them (that being said, I do love the Weeping Angels and would watch that episode again - or was it more than one?). Having very recently watched Broadchurch I was shocked to see Jodie Whitaker is #13. I haven't seen her in anything else.
When does the season start? I am very interested in hearing how she does...
New Doctor is awesome. I could even cope with Bradley Shaw but that's more because I've never come across him before, so had no preconceptions. The whole episode was reminiscent of the fish fingers & custard one when Matt Smith took over. It had all the scattiness that comes with regeneration & the final realisation of who she was & she announced, "I'm the Doctor" put a lump in my throat. I did laugh a lot with the whole "Tim Shaw" of the Stenza thing. That was supremely funny.
Too many companions Monsters who walk slowly are still not scary Needs to be scarier, like the Eccleston ones.
I kind of think the Tim Shaw thing was a sub-plot with the main feature being the completion of the regeneration. Wasn't Matt Smith's first monster a crack in a bedroom wall?

Yep, liked that one! Also, it had Amy Pond so can't complain No real stand out baddies from the Smith or Capaldi era though.. River Song was the only decent recurring character and she pre-dated (pun intended! ) both 11 and 12
