Started out in the early eightees as a post-punk/new wave band, heavily influenced by Joy Division. Became sort of a pop band later on.
First two albums on 4AD (Mesh & Lace and After The Snow) are classics.
Saw them for the first time live last night and I was surprised how good they (still) are!
