Romero I have been pretty hooked by the title track for a bit
Then this came along
& the album is brilliant. Moreover, it's only $1. I was sure this was a mistake, but nope. But just in case it is, you cannot possibly go wrong for a buck.
Taking the name from Blue Bell Knoll's Spooning Good Singing Gum, you just know exactly where this is going. All instrumentals, but all absolutely dripping with that vintage Cocteaus sound
I only discovered this band 15 minutes ago & have just bought their entire discography. I am absolutely covered in goosebumps. Think Still Corners meets The Cure & you're not a million miles away
She's in Parties They've recently released a debut single & it's superb. All About Eve, The Sundays & Cocteau Twins all rolled into one absolutely wonderful package.
Although I also found a track from last year which is utterly gorgeous

Lumenette (Christine Byrd) She has just guested on the new Hammock single (& actually sings on most of their albums) which is amazing & I have just discovered she has a debut album coming in August. Only one track released so far which is really really nice
