Dry Cleaning. I think I can honestly say I've never heard any other band like this. Perhaps a bit hard to listen to, but I just found myself getting more and more intrigued to the point where i think they could well be geniuses.

I may really like these guys. I hear lots of things in there, from Sonic Youth to Polvo to Slint to Mekons.
I am annoyed at the whole speaking thing, though. I listened to a bunch more stuff to see if she ever actually sings, and I don't think so. But musically, they're solid.

It's all spoken word. I think Florence Shaw uses bits of text she finds & add her own words around them. Although she does get into some oooh oohing on Viking Hair a ways back. They're certainly odd. But odd in a way that they are also quite marvellous.
Vallens. Again, not necessarily new as they had a debut album in 2016, but the new album, In Era, is something truly wonderful to behold. It's probably my favourite album of this year so far. Here's 5 songs off it performed live.
