A bit woozy. Took some heavy painkillers last night & they pretty well zonked me out. The back's stiff as a board & sitting for long periods is quite painful. Might find a Dr if it stays like this for too long.
Oh my, I hope, you'll feel better soon. Or better get yourself to a doctor straight away?!

Quick question: can you lie flat on your back and straight lift each of your legs in turn to the upright position? This is important.
If yes, you should be OK, if no, get to a doctor. (But go to a doctor ANYWAY just to be sure.)
Can you pee and ...er... The Other OK? Have you got pins and needles and/or loss of sensation in your feet? Or anything/anywhere else below your lumbar area?
If the answers to the above are yes, yes and no - and ONLY if your back will allow it, try this:
Sit on the edge of a comfy seat with your feet flat on the floor, shoulders-width apart.
If you can, slowly flop/lower your top half forwards (arms floppy) until your wrists touch the floor by your feet.
Try to RELAX into the movement and totally relax when your head is between your knees.
Stay there for a bit relaxing throughout your body.
Now, 'roll' your body SLOWLY back into the seating position. Don't sit straight up, arch yourself gently upright. Unfurl yourself.
This SHOULD help unclench your back muscles.
(If it hurts, STOP!!!!)
Repeat as often as necessary.
However, if you suspect you have a popped disc (hence the question about the straight leg lifts) don't do it. Just use alternate heat and cold packs for twenty minutes each - and then keep your back warm.
Get to a doctor as soon as you can.
The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
Thanks for the "karma sutra" session But seriously, I do have to exercise my back regularly as I get sciatica & that's not nice.
Thing to do is lie on the deck. Pull your knees up to your chest & then twist your legs gently from side to side. It strengthens the muscles in your back so they don't go squishing nerves. About 5-10 mins every couple of days is cool if you're suffering. After that, you can ease off the frequency. First time I did it, the most painful bit was lying on the floor. I thought the rest sounded bad, but getting on the floor was unbelievably painful. <<----old man

Gosh it happens to me too! The arch in my back is so incredibly huge... curvy...? *insert description here* that I can't even lie on my back in a hard surface without screaming. I'll give this exercises a try!
I don't think I make use of all this time. Oh kill me kiss me once, and then we'll throw it away.
