I'm glad it's on the other side of the planet, so I don't even have to consider of going. They became sellouts, nostalgia act and without Larry it's not U2

Right. So that venue sounds like it was really well thought-out.
So, they're hoping a "senior", long since relevant band mostly recognizable to people over the age of, let's generously say 40-45, will attract lots of patrons? Well, I'm sure the tickets for any events will be even MORE obscenely priced than most venues to pay the bills and I guess the older demographic is more likely to have that disposable income, but good luck with that...
They could have saved a lot of $ by just unseating Spaceship Earth from Epcot Center in Florida and transporting it to NV.

It's Vegas. That's totally the crowd they want down there. I've been to some residency shows down there & surprisingly there have been reasonably priced tickets if you don't mind sitting in the non Gucci seats. I used to go down there all the time but haven't since COVID & probably won't much now. I am thinking about the Vegas Grand Prix though. Really love F1 racing. That would be my main reason to go. They have a lot of other good rooms for music, too. I saw the Cure there in 2016 & it was phenomenal. It was the smallest venue on the NA tour & it wasn't super expensive. They couldn't fit the whole light show in the venue but I saw another show a week & a half later in a shed. Both were great had very different setlists.

Prices will be astronomical and with that dynamic pricing bullshiat it will be ridiculous at start... probably will go down later when it's not sold out (but majority of tickets will end up on secondary market).

I did the verified fan thing for U2 in Vegas @ the new Sphere. Like the Cure, I didn't get the code until the tickets were gone. Unlike the Cure it appears that the scalpers got ahold of a bunch of tickets. Decent seats were $1000+. That's a hard pass on that one. Also, it's really hard for me to plan that far in advance with the health stuff.

Even the original prices are ridiculous. Cheapest are for $140 and GA is $267. And it's just 3/4 of U2.
