Yesterday afternoon we spent at the our vet's office as Lion had stopped peeing. After the anaesthesia for RMI scans there is something wrong with him all the time. I still don't have the MRI results, btw. Only a list of questions from the neurologist who is dealing with Lion's scans. I answered them all and I'm waiting for her opinion.
Thankfully it seems that the problem with peeing is under control now. On Monday next visit for next antibiotic shot and other stuff. He is so frightened of coming out that today he hid under the bed as soon as he saw me dressed in jeans.
But fortunately he's having much more good moments. Since the visit at the university he's slept in the bathroom which is slightly inconvenient but who cares as long as he feels good there.
The Cat's Day was a good one as well.
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.
I finally took a deeper breath this evening. My vet didn't manage to get any clue from the guru of veterinary neurology but I exchanged some e-mails with the doctor who made the descriptions and interpretation of Lion's scan. She thinks that as long as the epileptic attacks don't happen again there is no such a rush to do other procedures. She proposed she would consult that with the guru the following week as she works with him on a daily basis, this week she is on holiday though. (BTW, it's so great example how holidays look now. You sit at home at the computer and work, even if only writing e-mails.) She also comforted me that she saw similar cases where cats were staying only on anti-epileptic meds without surgeries. I guess it must be nine lives thing...
So, still on a ticking bomb but with a bit more hope it won't explode.
Written with one finger with Lion sleeping on my lap. He obviously thinks everything is all right.

Tayga is doing great and Lion goes to the doctor pretty often these days. The problem with peeing has unfortunately gone back but he's on antibiotics and steroids now so our vet hopes that they will help here as well. We did one more test, when a result comes we're going to see the guru of neurology. Our vet claims she notices some slight difficulties with motion, I see a wee bit clumsy cat and I count the days without an epilepic attack. It's 28th day today. We'll see, as my vet says, we're going to fight for little Lion. Of course we will.
Apart from the litter box problem he feels fine, just hates going to the doctor. Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow he has days off!

I think this qualifies as a tuffet, but I'm not sure.
That is one heck of a gorgeous cat <3
Thanks! She's really blossomed in the time we've had. She was a rescue cat who stayed under the stove the first two weeks after we got her. It took her over a year to come sit on the couch with us. She has just started sleeping in our son's bed some nights. The first night this happened last week, I got to listen to him giggling in his room for an hour after his bedtime because he was so happy she was in bed with him. One of the sweetest things I've ever heard.

What a heart-warming story! It sounds like she fully loves and trusts you and your family! 🥰

It was great, thanks.
I should add she is nearly toothless, but not that ancient. She was born with the cat equivalent of British teeth.
