I had a sad pet experience today. While walking around running errands in the 88° weather, I heard some seriously upset barking when I passed a parked car. I realized that two, large dogs were locked in a car with the windows up. It had dark tinted windows, so I couldn't really see much inside but large dog mouths. Another woman was passing with her daughter and I asked her opinion on what I should do. I ended up calling the police, who only called me back two hours later. The owner of the car came back after the dogs had been in the car for at least 40 minutes. I left after one hour of waiting for the police to show up.
How can people be so cruel? That's sadistic.
thank you for speaking up for those who can’t do it for themselves
Polly & Iggy are both ill Going to have to take a trip to the vet tomorrow.
Suck it. Any idea what's wrong? Which end of the beasts is unwell?
Both ends. They have picked up some sort of gastro infection so they got antibiotic injections today & I have a course of tablets to give them (oh joy). On top of that I have some mega expensive food they have to eat for the next few days.

Oof, nasty. I’m sorry. And our cat has to have that stupid prescription food, too. We call it “meat paste.”
Thanks K. They seemed to perk up today after the jabs, but I just fed them & they had about 2 mouthfuls each & then skulked off They haven't really eaten for 2 days now.

I really hope your kitties are okay !
I managed to give them their tablets this morning without getting scratched to shreds. But they wouldn't eat their food after I mixed the paste in to counteract their diarrhea

Poor things - they must be feeling really unwell if they haven’t eaten in a few days. Do you give them soft food, or harder pieces of kibble ? If you feed them kibble, perhaps you could add a bit of water to moisten it up a bit ?
Anyway, hopefully they’ll heal up quickly and be back to their regular selves.
It's soft/ wet food. Usually they even try to take the sachets from my hands when I'm feeding them. I have a bag of Royal Canin gastrointestinal crunchy stuff that I haven't opened yet & I think I am going to takem them back to be honest. I've tried giving them that before & they didn't like it. I think the vet's on a commission to sell the stuff as it's more expensive than gold

Poor kitties. Btw - my cat also turned her nose up at the pricey food I tried to feed her. in fact, she only liked the cheapest brand available at the time: meow mix.
I wish both your kitties the speediest of recoveries.
