there is no if... sounds like dissaster on the Dream Tour recordings
You think so? I always found the Bloodflowers songs to be much better played live. Another reason it's so puzzling that the band seem to have abandoned them of late
It hurts me to say it ... Disintegration is one of my favorite songs but live ... it doesn't work ...
During the Prayer tour I find they played it always much too fast and it looses the mood. I also have a terrible souvenir of the 2008 tour where Porl didn't even play his chorus/melody (and also a bit too fast for me).
Never find back in concerts the mood of the original studio version ...
I'm about 2 years late on this comment, but I agree with you. I'd never seen them perform Disintegration live until recently, and I've been dying to hear it live as it's one of my favorites too, but I was disappointed in the sound. While you may have heard it faster, I heard it slowed down a bit and it almost didn't sound anything like the original studio version. I was shocked at how different it sounded; it was almost unrecognizable. I'm glad that I've finally seen it live, but I'd prefer not to see it again if it sounds the same.
I've seen videos from the mid nineties and of course, it sounded great then, sadly it no longer does.
First of all I think they should drop Closedown from the 2016 sets, to me it´s just a song that´s shoved in for no real reason really, it they want a disintegration theme the others songs included more than satisfy the requirement.
With so many to choose from over the years it would open up a spot for something else.
Back to the "it does n´t seem to work"
"Piggy in the mirror" can be like torturous at times, check Hammersmith 2014 out that´s a time that sticks out I think.
Mis the mega long versions like Forest aswell and I thought the mega fast " Cut" was briliant aswell from the time they did the Album tour.
So drop Closdown and give us a mega fast "Cut" it would also be a good one for Reeves to ikmprovise on.
