I'm a big 4Tour fan - Porl, evolving setlist, new material, being forced to put some effort in to how to present the old stuff all meant it felt fresher.
+ they weren't Shirt, like they were the previous time I saw them!
Think Porl did, Teddy on keys and Bob on acoustic. Maybe :/
Pretty sure Teddy played guitar too... but it's hard to tell by the shoddy video from Paris who played what. Robert for sure acoustic though yes.
Listening to the London show now. Def 3 guitars, sounds like Porl playing the lead and Teddy on the picked electric rhythm part. Lead is pretty similar to the album, quite melodic. Best live version
I just noticed in the Paris video, Porl is actually playing an acoustic throughout the whole thing too. It's on Youtube. So that leaves Teddy or the solo was on tape haha..
Porl is acoustic and looks like Bob is going to play it but he picks up the rhythm on an acoustic and Teddy plays it by a process of elimination! Impossible to see in any detail, same as the 91 clip of them playing it where an unhelpful should obscures the view of Porl..
Yes that one:) Something might've been on tape, I always felt the same way about Open too but I'm no expert. Anyway, at least we figured out why the "solo" sounded so dodgy in 2008!
Yep, but I'll still watch Show frame by frame and get back to you. God forbid No but seriously, I always loved that bit in Elise and was really curious about it. Guess we'll never know for sure
