If you've ever heard A Foolish Arrangement, I would have thrown some lyrics around that and replaced Trust on the Wish album with it. Maybe RS thought it was too happy...

Definitely among my favorite bees. I don’t think I’d have the heart to axe Trust (on second thought...) though.
I think I'm finally OD'ing on the 2000 tour. Yes, I like the encores. Yes, the album was under-rated. Yes, it's a unique setlist.
Like the 2019 tour, it's a setlist that is pretty much the same for all venues. Which is fine as most people will never heard what the show in the next country or state sounded like.
My cousin attended a 1996 Cure arena show in California, and never heard them since. Isn't that most casual listeners, I suppose.
Anyway, I'm finding myself skipping through setlists here to play Sinking or Like Cockatoos. I still have 59 shows to go on the 2000 tour, and the year is 2020. I really wanted to hear the shows leading up to the 2004 'The Cure' album. Even if I prefer the songs from Bloodflowers over that dull monstrosity.
Oh well, these are happy decisions and dilemmas as we enter the new 'Roarin' Twenties'. Happy New Year.
There are actually rarities within the Bloodflowers setlist. For some reason, Where the Birds Always Sing doesn't come up too often. Hard to play? Anyway, it's in 2000-06-18__Camden__The_E-Centre__CCC_
These Camden fans were very unlucky with the encores, getting The Figurehead and oGraphy back to back. I guess they weren't allowed to leave early, darn it...
At my age, any setlist would do. But Paris, 26.04.2000 is pretty sweet. I think Robert Smith has a soft spot for Parisian audiences, they always get the good stuff.
Sinking, All Cats are Grey, with some throwaways like the Drowning Man and Faith. Who needs to hear those, right?
Speaking of Faith, the band does a little bit of a "fake out" on the audience. The show seems to end with Faith, but then starts with another encore of M, Play for Today, and A Forest. Nice!

I remember him saying in an interview France was one of two European countries in which he most enjoyed playing (was the other one Italy? I can't remember). He used to be fluent in French and lived there for a while, so it stands to reason that soft spot might exist.
Got one of those old-fashioned 2-CD boots, The Flower Tour - Brussell 03_02_2000. What on Earth???! It closes with "The Faith Healer" from the Dermot O'Leary show (must have something to do with Brexit)
Getting into the wonderful "MD Master FR" shows. 2000-04-07 Zürich, Hallenstadion - MD Master FR had treats like There is No If, Plainsong, Sinking, and The Kiss.

These MD Masters make everyone jealous. What shows the band always gives France! In 2000-04-09 München, Olympiahalle - MD Master FR, we have Sinking, Siamese Twins, and All Cats are Grey.
I have a nice sampling of American shows that I've attended from 2008 through 2016, and these songs are on my bucket list playlist but they never seem to play them in America. Envy is an ugly emotion, but I'd glad to hear this second-hand...
