In all honesty, Dengler's been out of the band for nearly 4 years & I haven't noticed their live sound suffer for it. Not heard any of the material from El Pintor yet though. That'll be the acid test I think

Agreed, saw them 3 or 4 times on last tour and thought they didn't miss Carlos at all, however the last album itself just didn't do it for me. Will see them in Berlin next week.
Maybe they dont miss Carlos during the concerts .....but nearly sure they miss him for the composition of the album he was a major component of the band and on stage Carlos will miss with his style
i have seen them 4 times during the last tour (3 in London and 1 in Rome). Actually I don't think they are an impressive live band, all the sets were more or less the same and the live tracks quite similar to the studio ones. I think that some of their songs could be really amazing if they played different and longer live version. Maybe they are lazy or maybe just not good enough. Anyway, unfortunately they will not play in Rome this time, so I will not have the opportunity to see them.

4 times ...........good luck i have seen them last week in brussel and they were not so good like in festival last summer .... a little boring , too short and no power in their set .............. hope it will be better for you enjoy your showS !!!!!
