I like how you call them ... not sure to get all the nuances in these words but I think I get the meaning ...

I don't really get that. To say you don't like some of their stuff I can understand, but they're one of the few alternative bands that have actually made an effort to try to not repeat themselves from album to album. Considering they became an overnight sensation at such a young age, they've done well not to implode and say "let's just keep banging out "Dancefloor" type songs". What i'm trying to say is, I think they've diversified enough to make it very hard to not like literally anything they've done.
Imagine if our Bob had followed up TIB with 5 variants of the same thing? His ability to change is what make us appreciate him and the various phases they've gone through.
And I know it's a cliche but lyrically Alex Turner *is* a one-in-a-million. He's written better stuff at 18 than I could write at 43.
Not saying you have to like them but there's better bands to hate ;-)
