With this headline. Morrissey cancels Boston concert as another US tour comes to an ignominious end. I know the guy is sick but The comments were hysterical. The best being "Every time Morrissey cancels a show I eat a burger."
Although I'm glad that anyone is veggie/vegan I wish that Mozza would keep quiet about it! You get the same tedious comments every time he cancels or open his gob! Just shut the ****-up Morrissey you're giving us a bad name! Grrr

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This. But he's not giving you a bad name at all. I have no problem with peoples' personal dietary preferences whatsoever. I am a believer that people have a choice & if I were a big selling, renowned outspoken vegetarian artist, I would use my brain & figure that a proportion of my fans would fancy the occasional bacon sarnie or buffalo tenders. You read stuff about outrageous riders from divas like Mariah Carey & they all pale in comparison to Mozza's demands, & they ARE demands, that venues must not sell any meat products if he is to play there. That is flat out wrong. Whatever's next? Will he insist only vegetarians can listen to his noise?
What steve said I have absolutely no problem with people's dietary preferences, religious preferences or no religion, race, sexual preference etc... In fact, I have been condemned way more for being an omnivore than I will ever condemn a vegetarian. (I believe I was told meat eaters are "fked up") So no deepwater No prejudice from me.
I suggest you get a cup of tea……! Firstly, one correction; veganism is not a dietary preference; it is and belief that all animals (human or non-human) should be treated equally and with dignity, free from exploitation and cruelty. What you shove down gullet is just one aspect of this. Of course, Morrissey alone is not causing us a bad name, as mentioned, there plenty of plastic popsters and celebs (who when you dig a little deeper find out aren’t actually vegan) helping him along! However; it doesn’t alter the fact that there always is a string of the same pathetic comments like that stated in the post above and quite frankly, it gets rather wearing, particularly when you’re told that you should die and that are a child abuser (yes, this has been a train of posts following on from a ‘Mozza cancelling again’ post). Obviously, most non-vegans are not so idiotic, we for are talking about those who also believe that all Muslims are terrorist supporters. Okay, that is not his fault, but screening animal corpses etc. at his concerts is only going to inflame this type of prejudice and there’s a time and place for everything. Hopefully, that has explained my previous shorter rant…
Back to the post – perhaps a refund form should sent out with all future tickets to save time just in case???
If David Bowie called on the cosmic telephone, what would you two talk about? He called many times on the terrestrial telephone. He must surely be happy now. Music is eternity, and there he is, now, very much in it. I don't imagine he wanted anything else from life.
From the Rolling Stone interview, at first glance it reads ok and is the first thing I think he has said about db since he passed but its pretty cold - an absolute lack of empathy or understanding just projecting his own weird standards..
