Oh utter contempt for Fleetwood Mac .... Torture utter torture usually Saturday morning my Dad would play it .. / and Status Quo . But I wouldn't want to like either despite Status Quo were a " local" band .

The 4 that popped into my head are all listed here already: Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Radiohead, and White Stripes. I kind of feel like certainly I must be missing out on something, but at the same time, I have so much other music that I LOVE, that I won't let it bother me too much.
I have got difficulties with Kate Bush - I tried and tried - but I don't get any access to her music.
I can really relate to that ... I loved her in the late 70s/early 80s but somewhere along her internal struggle with the divine she lost me on the way. Same happened with Peter Gabriel - I adore his stuff in the 70s, liked it in the 80s and it went downhill from there.
On the other hand the older I get the more I enjoy Jazz ... I hated Herbie Hancock in the 80s and now hardly a day goes by with at least a song or two.
All i can say is they are a much different animal live than on record, and TV certainly doesn't capture that. I have taken a number of acquaintances (who weren't over enamoured by them before seeing them) to shows and have only ever had positive feedback. Personally, they are my favourite live band,I've even see them more times than The Cure!
