I see most people on here are already familiar with awesome Liqueur act, but if you're stuck with relatives over Christmas and can't make it to their show in Norwich on 28th December, just thought I'd inform you all about their show in London in February. Details are as below...
Feeling Gloomy & Old School Indie presents
LIQUEUR: A Tirbute To The Cure at O2 Academy2 Islington - Sat 22nd February, 2014
2014 will see the 35th Anniversary of thier debut album so we're going to celebrate by be throwing our own The Cure party with the help of our favourite Cure tribute act, 'Liqueur' Catch the band as they perform two sets of all your favourite hits by Rob Smith and his gloom rockers as well as a few obscure gems for all you hardcore cure heads.
Doors are at 8pm and ticket price includes entry to Old School Indie club that follows immediately after, which will be playing the likes of The Smiths, Joy Division, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Pulp, Blur, Suede, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Libertines and of course plenty more of The Cure until 3:30am
I have been to Feeling Gloomy a couple of times and it is a great night!
I will def be at Liqueur too. Hope to see some people there?
Hiya I'm up for this as well, anyone else going? Hope I haven't left it too late...........there will be a videowall wont there ha ha
I've just checked and the venue is actually the smaller Academy2 venue upstairs, not the larger one with the downstairs entrance. In telling you this because I've been there before and stood waiting for a band that was playing in the other room! It would be great to see you Joey. Get tickets though because it's quite an intimate room and a lot of people go just for the club night. www.o2academyislington.co.uk/Info/About
Sadly I can't make it, it's the 40th of one of my high school friends, so I really can't get out of it. I wish I could as I'd much rather come listen to The Cure being played with you lot!
