Thanks Steve, looks interesting. I love them and I'm happy to see that they have other fans here too!
Yep. Have a massive soft spot for them. Saw them when they released Treasure & it was such an intimate feeling show. Almost felt like it was in my lounge.

That must have been brilliant! I was born that year so I kind of missed out... but I listen to a show from that tour every now and then and you can tell it was lowkey. I get the shivers from Pandora...it's very hard to choose a favourite album though and that well-written list didn't help!
I loved the fact that they were part of the post-show music last year as well. "Ella Megalast Burls Forever" at Milan among others. It was just great. And I enjoyed Billie during the pre-show too by the way. Robert's taste is impeccable quite simply
I can remember really getting into CT when I was about 16. I would drive around and listen to my cassettes of The Pink Opaque and Heaven or Las Vegas.
I sometimes use music from Robin Guthrie's Songs to Help My Children Sleep at work to help clients relax. It's just as ethereal as CT music, but I do miss Liz's vocals on it. Great background music, though.

Sounds a lot like my experience seeing Cowboy Junkies on the Trinity Session tour. Low key, intimate... completely enchanting.
Got some new headphones and listened to Victorialand for the first time in a long while. Christ what a stunning record still...
It is, isn't it?!
I remember freshman year in college I listened to that album a lot. When I went through a depressed time period, one of my hippie friends caught me listening to it and said, "Well maybe you'd be happier if you didn't listen to such depressing music." I thought he was an idiot.
