I am not Goth, and think I never was... But, yes, I always was fascinated with the aspects of that culture, and yes - I was in black pretty much since 14 and like to wear black even today mostly, and loved to visit some clubs, in Germany especially... But that is today soooo not important in my general opinion about the music, and about The Cure especially. There are some aspects of Goth-milieu I really can not stand. For example, everything connected with vampires and stuff. And I hate over-posing in general. So, if Paramore or something similar is Goth - I'm certainly not. I am inclined to consider myself as "alternative", but must confess how hard it is for me to define that "label" properly. Generally, I like attitude of Robert Smith and The Cure towards this subject pretty much. They are simply cool and distant towards any kind of cheap labeling. On the other hand today I feel how I am in majority of aspects only a pale shadow of my past... Now, how "Gothish" is that?
An impression of sound Then everything is gone Forever
Colleague: "So you are a goth then, right?" Me: "Well ummmm yeahhh I suppose you could say that, yes" Colleague: "Do you worship Satan?" Me: "Oh FFS no, that's not how it works you kn0b!" Colleague: "Do you worship The Cure?" Me: "HAHA yes you've got me bang to rights there"

Hahaha, this is great
I walk wondering why, the same dream so many times
I find it rather stupid to assume that somebody is "goth" just because they like black clothes and/or make-up. Me, for ex., I love wearing black but I barely like any typical goth bands. (and no, I don't consider the Cure, Joy Division et al "goth")
