I have the strangest feeling I've been a Clash fan longer than a Cure fan, but I'm not sure.

Anyway...I don't have a huge collection of theirs. Got Combat Rock on cassette, The 25th Anniversary Edition of London Calling. The Essential Clash 2CD/DVD, The Singles box set and a book about them. I would LOVE to get the Sound System box set someday.

Oh! I even got to see Paul's bass at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame a few years back, sadly never got a pic. But, it was cool just to see it.

We must always be careful with a band with no bassist!

I'm similar. Maybe once a month (for a few days, or a week) I'll start listening to The Clash loads.

I've always treasured the special vibe that Combat Rock has. Or rather, the lack of cohesion and polish is what I like about it. It sounds like chaos and mushy vocals, but it comes together as a form of perfection. It will always be special to me.
