These were taken in my girlfriend’s dorm room right after spring break. While she was on break, my girlfriend went to Disney World. While I was on break, I shaved half my head. I love these pictures because I jokingly put on her mouse ears and had no idea that six months later I’d be living in Florida and working for the Mouse.
weedyburton79 , at one point it was a dream of mine to work at Disney... I'm much happier visiting the parks. Hopefully they open back up...
It was interesting to work there, but I never viewed it as a long-term career option. My older sister worked in the mid- to late '80s and early '90s when I was there. We have very good friends who still work there and are now pretty high up in the Florida organization.
My oldest son has worked there for the last 9 years. He loves it, and is probably going to be a lifer. My youngest son is in college and wants to do the College Program. I think it would be a good experience for him.
It's my understanding that there is literally no date currently on the table for reopening the parks. Time will tell...
Weedyburton - your hair was fantastic - the style is so very 90’s!
It’s so awesome that your kids both work at WDW, and it’s nice that you and your wife can benefit from thar castmember discount.
My friend, her child and I went to WDW and Universal ( Halloween Horror nights!!!) a few years back and had a fantastic time!
Hahahaha. That's actually '80s hair! Perhaps I was ahead of trends for once...? lol
Embarrassingly, I have never paid to go to the Disney parks in Florida as an adult. I either worked there or have had friends or family that works there. We are very fortunate and don't take that for granted.
I have never done HHN, but both my kids have. They love it. I don't think I'd fare well. lol

That is so great that you get into the parks for free! Disney is super pricey when you factor in the resorts and food, so if you can save on park tickets, more power to you!
I would definitely encourage you to try out HHN at least once, it’s like walking onto the set of a horror movie and you’re the star! I’ll admit that I needed a bit of liquid courage before entering our first house, but After that it was great, and I only cried for my mother once. 😝
I was going to disneyland for my birthday for a few years - which was close enough to Halloween to be able to count all of the Elsas.... if you can count that high!
