To add to my last comment, I am currently watching the Everton game, where Richarlison has his shirt almost torn off in the box - they don't call a foul - then the ball gets cleared to the other box where an Everton player makes a tackle and gets sent off.
Surely VAR is there to decide if the shirt pulling is deemed a foul; if yes, nothing after matters, if no, then move on to what happened next.
I've watched more football today than I usually do, but this VAR nonsense is ridiculously mismanaged.
Shambolic scenes in Paris, I've been to that stasium twice for Arsenal games, the Champions League final against Barcelona and a Cup Winners Cup Semi Final against PSG. We beat PSG, after the game we were all herded to the coach pick up points whether we wanted to go there or not, water cannons and tear gas used against us and basically escorted out of the country. This led to The Sun branding Arsenal fans as scum, Arsenal complained and soon after the French government apologised, we were cleared. The Barcelona game, again tear gassed for no reason at all, we lost, we just wanted to go home but the Police got in the way, baton charges and more tear gas. So it's easy for UEFA to blame LIverpool fans with fake tickets for the chaos before the game, Liverpool fans are no saints - we all know that, but I think the way the French authorities handle European games needs to be looked at because this cannot go on.
Bemused by a crowd of 35,000 for a team ordered to play behind closed doors ..... England were woeful though, Bowen looked out of his depth, and the left back - forgotten his name!! Curiously the left back with the memorable name was apparently the only left back in the squad as Saka came on as left back at half time .... most peculiar. Booed by 30,000 kids, that's dreadful.
