Hang in there, chuckrh and Laney I've seen some snowy and icy shots from US and I'm must say it looks awesome there, amazing but also dangerous.
It has not been pleasant. Luckily we had a warm up for a days... nothing funnier than seeing a 70 degree increase in temperature from one day to the other... Who knew 20 degrees (farenheit) would feel so warm!!
@chuchrh, I feel for you but nothing beats these midwest storms...

it snows so seldom here that people freak out. it's anarchy on the roads. they only sand the main thoroughfares, the side streets not at all. gets tricky since there are a lot of hills. i get around ok as i have all wheel drive (comes in handy for the rains, too). the cold is kicking my @$$ though with the RA. that plus the last chemo has wore off so i'm in a world of hurt. i'm on a 16 week cycle but according to doc should be a 12 week cycle. insurance won't allow, so i'm hurtin' for certain during that month gap. i go in thursday & 2 weeks from thursday for next round. it's a long drive but the main snow event should be over by then hopefully. it's the drive home after being on IV for 4-5 hours that's tricky. the silver lining is only working 3 day weeks for next 4 weeks. have to find something positive, haha. looks like this weather cycle (highs low 30s, lows low 20s) is going to be with us a few more weeks. ugh. hope you are doing well.

I'm so happy I don't have to deal with the intense heat further down in Europe, I do not envy you guys it the slightest. That said... it's 14°C and cloudy/rainy here which means that even me, who can't function properly once it gets to around 25°C, wishes for a couple of degrees more. But apparently that is not happening:
