Maybe the release is taking so long because Robert has to record vocals on all the lost wishes instrumentals and title them as (unreleased vox take from 92)
I'm still butthurt about those RS glove tracks recorded in "1983"
Ah you see I prefer those to the album versions, that woman can't hold a tune in a bucket!
Truuuue I cant even take those songs seriously with her vocals! thats the reason i was so stoked to hear robert smiths voice from 83 on those recordings especially torment, i feel like original RS vocal demos had to exist at one point
I disagree with you on that, and i think she should have had her face on the front sleeve for respect, i'mnot fan of the 'demos' which we are still not sure they were really from '83, and if thet are not, shame on him to make these 'fakes'.
Still, the bbc box set will come out one day, don't worry.
I still find it quite "tin foil hat-like" all the theories on the Glove demo vocal tracks. They're demos with little or no added processing, mixing, mastering to the...well anything really. Did someone carbon date the master tapes or something?
I thought Severin had actually grassed him up? I'm sure I read a quote from him along those lines somewhere. Saying that they had lost some of the original tapes (cough, cough) and a few had been re-recorded. Not that I'm actually bothered either way ....

Yes, at the time i thought Severin was like "you think so, yes fors ure they are original 83 robert's vocals, aren't they, don't you think, oh well, could there have been , no, is there, well, i can't really say, it must be, hm, surely t is..."
Wish will turn 25 years old this year. A fantastic album including 3 great singles, 6 superb B-sides and the 4 Lost Wishes tracks, that's 22 songs that we know of, and who knows if anything else can be added? Also Wish was followed closely by the live albums Show & Paris. A very productive time & a particularly great bass tone from Simon that era.
