Kind of makes you wonder what it is his fans say or ask him when they get the opportunity to meet him or the others. First and foremost, if I saw him or the others, I honestly don't know if I could find it in me to go up to them and talk to them. And that's purely from a respect point of view. But if I was liquored up, it'd be a different story! Plus, I'd report back here with any answers!
Many years ago Robert once said, in an interview, that Disintegration was going to be the last 'Deluxe' edition, so I wouldn't hold your breath kids.
It's possible I suppose, when his funds get a bit low, he may change his mind and as we all know he is an inveterate self-confessed liar so take all he says with a pinch of salt!
What I would rather see (or indeed hear) is a dvd/BluRay release of 'In Orange' and 'Play Out' or even 'Show'.
I'm still not going to hold my breath though.
With you on the blu rays. But you're right. We've heard all these stories about a glut of releases & DVDs & who can forget the "exclusive" Sydney shows that were destined for a Blu Ray release? All of these took a back seat to the 2013 tour(s) & now we are all champing at the bit for Tim Pope's film from the LatAm tour. They do so like to tease though. They certainly gave a tip of the hat to Wish over the last 2 years by including songs in the sets they played & that certainly got the juices flowing in anticipation of a deluxe. They are prolly sitting on a mound of stuff that's ready & trying to decide what to let out of the bag first (he said, optimistically).

Robert also said that Pornography and Bloodflowers would be the final Cure albums. If he breaks this promise and gives us Wish Deluxe, I won't hold it against him. horsepoop
I would love a Blu-ray of Show, I enjoy Trilogy but Show would be very welcome.
Is there a link to that interview?
As for Wish, I think the original sounds great and while I'd love to hear a remaster I'd be afraid based on the recent remasterings and more recent CD releases that it would just be slammed loudness wars material.

This.
I was reading about the "Loudness Wars" just the other day, and a list followed of albums that have been heavily criticized for their awful production--that "wall of sound" that allows for no peaks or valleys in the music. The Cure's "4:13 Dream" was there.
