Last week I had all this pent up angst. I don't even know what the hell I was mad at. Work, home, traffic, who knows. Probably no real reason. I was just... I don't know... moody.
I flipped through a shoebox of old unlabeled CDRs and threw one it while I went driving and it happened to be an old Cure mix CDR.
There was an instant connection. I haven't really been listening to a ton of the Cure lately. So when I threw that in, in this mood, I was just like "finally. someone understands."
By the end of the cdr (and ok, maybe a good night's sleep too) later, end of mood. Happy the Man, so to speak.
Thought I'd share the list. Just for fun.

It was a good mix of tunes that first got me into the band with some more recent ones.
I'm glad your mood swing ended on an 'up'! That's a great mix of songs, one is my favourite, one would be a fave if I could listen to it without bawling, two I don't know yet and the rest I really love. You've inspired me to have a go at a mix tape, thank you for the idea!

The end is all that's ever true
When I was in school.. when I first started listening to the Cure, I made nothing but mix tapes. Dozens of them. I still remember the different ones and some of the orders of the tracklists. It was trickier then because each tape only had 45 minutes to a side and you had two sides (instead of the whole cdr today) so lots of blank area at the end of a tape (or chopped off side).
I always loved mix tapes. You could create a theme with them.
