I was watching this tragedy live on TV till late night. It was one of the saddest experiences I've ever had. Something very important has gone. A piece of my history, of my culture, a piece of me. It was heartbreaking. I love the place, I love all gothic cathedrals, for me they're the most beautiful buildings ever created and the utmost masterpieces of human architecture.
I know that Notre-Dame de Paris will be reconstructed but I also know it won't be the same anymore.
RIP Roky Erickson. In some ways an American Syd Barrett. There's a great documentary about called i think "You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone". indeed. below is a favorite by him. the man could rock with the best of them. i'm heading down to the temple with a prayer now...

prayers up for your friend godwina. i know chemo all too well. i'm on a 16 week cycle & am in the middle of a bad part. had an infusion a week ago & am still sick. i went back to work wednesday but left after half day today as there wasn't a lot to do. the main chemo drug is interfering with the pain meds so i'm not in a good place at all & the after effects get worse as i go along. i have to do another IV next week & then hopefully i'll be ok for the summer. won't be enough for me to be able to go to "daydream" though. i'll have to hope for a regular tour of some sort after festival season & that's a challenge. anyway, i truly hope it helps your friend. just be there for her. it's important. dealing with it alone is even worse.

thank you for your kind words, chuck! very sorry to hear about your chemo as well :/ so awful how many are affected, and how suddenly it hits someone, like no logic, nothing, just vile. hoping you feel better soon, and wishing you the very best and that the therapy works, so that you can get a break from it all.
