I have self-assembled a directory which contains the various BBC sessions, studio demos and some out-takes presented on the reissues.
A few additional tracks from ROIO have found a place there too.
However, avoiding instrumental versions, the KM album is thin on vocal out-takes and I have no session material to add to my archive.
I'm aware of the demo of A Japanese Dream, which I am missing, but hope to discover if there may be some bootlegs which contain material not yet reissued.
Some examples:
I can remember years ago reading about a South African test pressing with alt versions of The Kiss. Can't recall where I found that entry now - though the label's offices were not far away they are sadly long gone now so I can't stage a raid.
The François Kevorkian remixes: FK would likely have prepped a 7", 12" and a dub mix of anything he was involved with, it was the normal thing to do. There is potentially a HHH dub mix.
I thought I'd check in with the forum about these things as I could use more info and some leads.
Thanks.

I was going to send you the link, glad you found yourself.
About FK, i remember reading about it, but it meant remixing every 'singles' tracks, right?, not every track, which would be mad!
My 'list' is actually just a folder that I have dropped various demos, out-takes and session tracks into. It's very much a playlist as opposed to a reference document.
I shall try to send it as a m3u file when I next boot my machine.
FK was a DJ/remixer, he'd only have been commissioned to do an upcoming single, and yes, he'd have been given multitracks to work with. Not like Razormaid which cut up a song and rearranged its parts. His remit would have been to make it dance-floor friendly.
Steven Wilson is issuing entire albums that he has remixed from the 2" masters. I have Love and Rocket's 'Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven' for example.
And record labels have sometimes called in another producer to do a different mix of a finished album. I can think of Killing Joke's 'Brighter than a Thousand Suns'.
Both these albums now exist as 2 different mixes.
Also, 5.1 mixes of back catalogue albums entail a new mix from the multitracks.
^^ Notice that few instrumental tracks and no unmixed home recordings made the cut.
I've no TV appearances included (except for Echo of Bananas) because I actually don't have them (though do intend to add them).
Various sessions after 1990 that I do have are on a separate drive just now.
Repairing/editing/cleaning/Eq'ing the files that I have has been worth the effort. It's time intensive though. As is sourcing new additions, so if anyone can lend a hand, please do.
👍 (Shares in Mega whenever possible please and thank you)

Oh, that's not what i expected, because your title read 'KM era'. An error message reads that it can't be played (for some reason) but at least i can read the titles so i'll check if i recognise it all...
