Asking Rick Beato to review The Figurehead by The Cure and the fact that all of the chords are neither minor nor major because all of the 3rds are taken out. (which is yet another reason it is a brilliant song) C5, Bb5, F5 G#5
The guitar plays single picked notes rather than chords but the main riff C D# G C has the D# which indicates the song is in the key of C minor rather than C major.
Every song on Pornography is in a minor key.
Technically yes it's a Cm chord in the beginning (which has a D# in it) but If you listen to the bass riff It is descending for the first three then it goes up to G#. The bass riff is C Bb F in descending order then up to G# (aka Ab) . But if you play the chords with the 3rds taken out it works. Minor keys are the best.
We had a voting, too. Today was a big day of parliamentary elections. I went, did what I'm sure was right but in vain. Again, another four years of darkness ahead of us Unless exit poll lies much. It's doubtful though so I'm drinking now.
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.

Trying to not fall asleep whilst waiting for the bus. Had a couple more beers than I planned on with my colleagues, but hey, that's what happens when you find out that your lecture tomorrow morning is cancelled Sidenote: I just realised that as far as I know there is no English word for the concept of having a beer or five with your colleagues to celebrate payment day in English. In Norwegian we call it 'lønningspils' which literally translates to 'payment (day) pilsner'.

Not quite the same but we have Poets day. (Piss off early, tomorrow's Saturday)
