yadda yadda yadda...forget songs and setlists and all just getting the feeling of a worldwide cure party. thousands of dark shadows covering the land like the zombies in the dead don’t die, love it!
even if hyde park was not my favourite gig, as i am actually enjoying the ones this years much more, it is just great to see all these cinemas showing the cure. so i will get happy and dizzy and think of us all hopefully having a blast!
Coming fresh from the Cinema. What a Great Show. Didn´t expect it to sound THAT good. Robert´s Voice was fantastic. I wasn´t familiar with the setlist in particular before (just knew it would be a hit laden festival-type setlist) and wanted to be surprised. So I was delighted to hear "If Only Tonight We could Sleep". Also didn´t expect to hear "Jumpin someone elses Train", "Grinding Halt", "Killing an Arab". Thought the set would close with "Boys don´t Cry" just like in the current Festival-Tour.
Tim Pope did a really good job capturing the band. He could have add some more close up shots from the audience though. The band was in really good mood. Lot´s of smiling. Especially liked the way Pope shot/edited "Shake dog shake" (and Roberts Voice sounded so energetic here). There were a few other surprises for me, meaning songs I never thought I would enjoy so much. "End of The World" for example and "Close to Me". The latter was much better sung than in the current tour and once again good shot by Pope. Roberts Face in Close Ups on the big screens left and right and in the middle performing the song (sorry cannot describe it really). I even liked "The Caterpillar" this time.
Of course this was not my dream setlist. This would include a lot more dark and obscure Cure-stuff, but for that kind of show it was really perfect. Cannot wait to watch it again at home.
Everybody who watches tonight the biggest birthday party ever - have a great evening! For everybody else waiting for their turn - have patience. I'm sure there will be a chance to watch it even if only after DVD/Blu-ray release.
A bunch of people had a few pints and got rowdy at the back, talking all the way through Disintegration and pretty much there on, but the actual show was brilliant, fantastically edited!
Also a shout out to Jason who was captured looking like the happiest person in the world at the end there.

totally agree! was so nice to actually jason
He looked like he was working so hard when it went from JSET into Grinding Halt! The golden sunlight for the first hour was amazing, the film captures it perfectly - you can still feel how hot it was.
liked it a lot, audience could have been a bit more enthusiastic but at least some clapping and yaying. some parts of the film had proper 80s feel about it, german musikladen or early totp studio band effects. great to see it all over again, almost enjoyed more than last year and so nice to actually see all these bits and pueces, the details on stage
Loved it, so many little details you miss at a gig Spoiler - his anti sun crucifix doesn't make the cut!
Noooo really? I just thought I had missed that bit going to the toilet during High lots of other special moments captured that passed me by on the day, loved it!
