Saw it last night. I never ever thought I would sit through or make it through a 3 hour 41 minute movie about the mob but I did and it was fantastic.
it didn't seem that long. flew by. i'm letting it sink in & will watch again. that's high praise. i don't usually watch films repeatedly. mostly kubrick, tarantino & the coen brothers would be the exceptions.
But it's Scorsese and he is a God among film producers in my book. Although I must say he borrowed some Quentin for a few scenes me thinks.

It's not up there with Goodfellas but it is so enjoyable - the cinema equivalent of 3 1/2 hours of comfort food I especially liked the watermelon guy in Al Pacino's intro - a performance so far over the top it almost made Pacino's look normal.
Watched it last night from start to finish. Very fine film. Yes, it is not Goodfellas but it's good enough to be included among the great Scorsese films, IMHO.
